THE 3 SYMBOLS:

dismembered torso dream symbol

This dream symbol represents a desire to understand the processes of the mind below the level of consciousness. The idea is based around the torso being the place where food is processed by the body. To dream of a dismembered toro signifies a desire to understand the processes of the unconscious and the forces driving it.

The shadow self dream symbol

This dream symbol represents the parts of yourself which are repressed and hidden from consciousness, the parts of your self that you refuse to acknowledge. This idea comes from Jung's belief that people you do not recognise within a dream are representing your shadow self. Jung believed that for true potential to be unlocked the shadow self must be successfully integrated into your persona, and that dreams can show the effort your shadow self is making to be acknowledged.

Tidal wave dream symbol

This dream symbol represents an unsettled unconscious; In spiritual symbolism water represents the flow of spirit and intuition and the ocean represents the spirits connection to the collective unconscious, therefore the ocean represents the unconscious. To dream of a tidal wave signifies a deep restlessness in the unconscious and implies the actual self is not aligned with the spiritual self.
