Scene 9: Flicker between distorted shots of the 3 symbols, the torso, the tidal wave and the shadow self. Really fast, end on main character with eyes closed.
Started off by filming all the hanging torsos spinning around on the thread they were suspended from, example:
Then duplicated, reversed and overlapped the clips in premier, added quick cuts to the tidal wave at its highest, also overlapped and distorted, and the shadow self. This is where the heart beat is at its fastest in order to increase intensity, final edit:
